I live and work on Little Cranberry Island (also called Islesford), Maine during the months of June, July and August. I make and sell work from a little shop on the Islesford Dock. Islesford is located off Mt Desert Island. Take the ferry from Northeast Harbor (Beal and Bunker Mailboat) or Southwest Harbor (Cranberry Cove Ferry).

  1. Hi Marion, I’m one of your summer customers.just wondering if you’ll be there this coming summer ,or has everything on the dock permanently closed? I’m the gal that comes to n.e.harbor from orange county, California. I kayak out to your place and load up with your wonderful pottery. I pray you’ll still be there:)

    • Hello Betty- great news, the dock was purchased and will be up and running again as a restaurant, and both Winters Work and Islesford Pottery will be back.Yahoo! Sounds like they are doing some renovation in the restaurant part and plan to open in early June, I believe under the same name. So pick a nice kayaking day and come on over! I plan to be there with lots of new work. Thanks for writing.

  2. We loved visiting your shop in Islesford last week. You have a great personality, lovely work, and I bet you are a wonderful pottery teacher. I love my so soft t-shirt made in Floyd, VA. Thx for supporting textile workers in SW Virginia.

    • Hello Rhonda–thanks so much for the nice words! Hope to see you again someday at Islesford.
